How to Use This Challenge
This isn’t about doing everything perfectly. It’s about doing something daily.
Each prompt fits into one of four time brackets:
- 1–5 minutes: Super short, zero-pressure
- 5–15 minutes: Quick wins
- 15–30 minutes: For when you have a little more space
- 30+ minutes: Weekend reset, anyone?
Pick and choose what fits. Mix it up. Skip days if needed. Your self-care, your rules.

Why Deaf-Friendly Self-Care Matters
Many mainstream self-care guides assume access to sound, speech, or spoken instructions. But that doesn’t work for everyone.
Our community thrives on visual language, physical expression, and deep connection. Deaf-friendly self-care honors that:
- It centers visual rituals like sign language, body movement, and space.
- It avoids audio-only activities and instead offers quiet or sensory-safe options.
- It reminds us that Deaf wellness is real wellness—not an afterthought.
When we practice care in ways that actually fit our needs, we build long-term strength.
Avoid Overwhelm: Tiny Habits, Big Impact
You don’t need to go all in to feel the benefits. Here’s how to keep it sustainable:
- Start small. One minute counts.
- Keep it visual. Print the toolkit. Use sticky notes. Make it visible.
- Celebrate wins. Checked off 3 days in a row? That’s huge.
- Loop in community. Share your progress in stories or with a friend.
The goal isn’t perfection—it’s presence.
