Buffalo Cauliflower Wings
Sorry, that it took forever for me to post this! I am excited to share this with you because I took the oppournity to prepare and make buffalo cauliflower wings in three different ways: deep drying oil, baking, and air fryer. I’ve experiemented them all in over time and played around with spices. After experiencing three methods, I love air fryer the most. But I want to help you to make them in three methods so you can take the opportunity to try them yourself too. Or even just work with what you have in your kitchen.
INGREDIENTS
- 1 head of cauliflower, remove stem, cut into florets
- Almond Milk, unsweetened
- 1/2 cup All-purpose flour (as needed)
- 1/2 tsp Salt
- 2 tsp Garlic Powder
- 1/4 tsp Pepper
- 1/4 tsp Cayenne
- 1 tsp Cumin
- 1 tsp Paprika
- 1/2 cup Garlic Breadcrumbs (as needed)
- Dill – Topping
- 2 tbsp Vegan Butter – I use earth balance buttery spread
- 1/2 cup Buffalo Sauce – I use Frank’s Red Hot Sauce (as needed)
DIRECTIONS
Always wash your hands and wash your veggies before you start.
- Collect three mixing bowls for milk, flour, and garlic breadcrumbs.
- Mix all-purpose flour with salt, pepper, cayenne, cumin, and paprika. Set aside.
- Fill a bowl with almond milk. Set aside.
- Fill a bowl with garlic breadcrumbs. Set aide.
- Dip the cauliflower into milk bowl. Shake to lessen the leftover.
- Dip the milked cauliflower into flour. Shake the extra flour out.
- Dip the floured cauliflower into milk again.
- Dip the cauliflower into garlic breadcrumbs. Place the dipped cauliflower into a large bowl.
- Repeat until done.
To Pepare Deep Oil Frying
Deep frying with canola oil. Go for between 325° to 375°.
- Deep fry cauliflower pieces in batches until golden brown.
2. Drain on paper towels. Place the fried cauliflower into a clean bowl. Season with salt.
3. To make buffalo sauce; Heat the buffalo sauce with butter and whisk to combine.
4. Once the butter is melted, and you can smell the strong flavor in the heated saucepot. Turn it off and pour the sauce all over fried cauliflower.
5. Mix until all fried cauliflower is covered with the sauce.
Ready To Service
To Pepare Bake
1. To make buffalo sauce; Heat the buffalo sauce with butter and whisk to combine.
2. Once the butter is melted, and you can smell the strong flavor in the heated saucepot. Turn it off and pour the sauce all over dipped cauliflower.
3. Mix until all dipped cauliflowers is covered with the buffalo sauce.
4. Line the califlowers on baking sheets with parchment paper.
5. Bake at 350°F until almost tender, about 25 to 35 minutes. Once take out, let it stand for a minute.
Ready To Service
To Pepare Air Fryer
1. To make buffalo sauce; Heat the buffalo sauce with butter and whisk to combine.
2. Once the butter is melted, and you can smell the strong flavor in the heated saucepot. Turn it off and pour the sauce all over dipped cauliflower.
3. Mix until all dipped cauliflowers is covered with the buffalo sauce.
4. In the Air Fryer with parchment paper, add cauliflower.
5. Roast 400° for about 20 minutes or until tender on crust and moisty inside. Let it rest for a minute.
Ready To Service
Once ready to service, you can add the celery and carrot with your favorite dipping sauce.
