Manifesting in ASL: How I Use Vision Boards & Deaf-Friendly Rituals for 2025 Goals

Setting Intentions, The Deaf Way

Every February, I like to pause, reset, and ask myself: What do I want to feel more of this year?
Not just what I want to do—but how I want my life to look, feel, and flow.

As a Deaf woman, my manifestation journey isn’t always what you see on Instagram. My vision boards have more visual rhythm. My rituals are Deaf-friendly. And yes, I sign my affirmations in ASL—because my goals deserve to be seen, felt, and signed into reality.

Manifesting in ASL: How I Use Vision Boards & Deaf-Friendly Rituals for 2025 Goals

Why Manifestation Works—Especially When You’re Deaf

Before we dive into the how-to, I want to say this:

You are not behind. You are not too late. You are not asking for too much.

As Deaf folks, we grow up navigating a world that wasn’t made with us in mind. From missing announcements to inaccessible affirmations, even manifestation advice can feel hearing-centered.

But we have our own magic. Our own way of feeling vibration, visualizing in high-def, and expressing intentions with our whole body.

Manifesting in ASL isn’t a trend—it’s a translation of your soul’s language into goals you can see.

1. How I Create a Vision Board That Speaks My Language (Literally)

My 2025 vision board isn’t just about cutting cute quotes from magazines. It’s about curating a vibe that reflects the Deaf CEO energy I’m stepping into.

Here’s how I build mine:

✂️ Step-by-Step: Building a Deaf-Friendly Vision Board

StepWhat to IncludeDeaf-Friendly Twist
1Choose your “vibe”Think in visuals: What do you see in your dream life?
2Pick your categoriesHome, health, money, career, relationships, creativity, spiritual growth
3Use accessible materialsBold images, handwritten affirmations in ASL, high-contrast colors
4Print your signsAdd ASL sign illustrations or sign yourself + add photos
5Add textures & movementFeathers, glitter, flowing fabric, tactile shapes (we experience through touch too!)

💡 TIP: Record a short video signing your goals in ASL. Loop it. Watch it often.

🖼️ Bonus: I keep a mini version on my phone lock screen to remind myself what I’m working toward, daily.

2. Rituals That Actually Work for Me (and Don’t Feel Forced)

Let’s be real: not every manifestation method will click for you. That’s okay.

Over the years, I’ve found that simple, sensory-based rituals that honor my Deaf experience work best for building long-term momentum.

🌕 My Favorite Rituals for Manifesting in ASL

✨ Full Moon Ritual (monthly release):

  • Light a candle
  • Write or sign what I’m letting go of
  • Burn or shred it (safely!)
  • Sign “FREE” or “DONE” as a release gesture

🌑 New Moon Ritual (monthly intention-setting):

  • Visualize one key goal
  • Sign your affirmation (e.g. “SUCCESS COME ME” in ASL grammar)
  • Place a visual reminder near your bed

🤲 Morning Mirror Ritual:

  • Sign 3 affirmations in the mirror daily
  • Use a mix of ASL + eye contact to root the energy in your body

🧼 ASL Cleansing Practice:

  • Water-based: Wash hands and face while signing “NEW DAY”
  • Smoke-based: Use sage/palo santo with the sign “PROTECT”

3. How I Stay Consistent Without Burning Out

The biggest lie hustle culture tells us? That manifesting requires 24/7 hustle.
But true manifestation flows from aligned action—not burnout.

So I built a system that honors my Deafness, my energy, and my nervous system.

🧘🏽‍♀️ Keep It Simple: My 3-Part Manifestation Maintenance Routine

  1. 1 Daily Habit: One small action that connects to your big dream
→ e.g. Drinking water = supporting my wellness glow-up goal
  2. 1 Weekly Check-In: Reflect or journal (5–10 min)
    → What worked? What didn’t?
  3. 1 Monthly Reset: Refresh your vision board, clean your space, or revisit goals

✅ Use your ASL habit tracker from the free toolkit to check off rituals that feel good, not forced.

4. How Manifesting in ASL Supports the Deaf Community

When I started doing this work out loud (aka, in signs), something shifted.

It wasn’t just about personal success. It was about representation.

Every time I sign an affirmation, every time I create an ASL-visual blog post, every time I embody confidence in a Deaf-accessible way—I’m showing what’s possible.

Here’s how these small personal rituals ripple out:

ActionCommunity Ripple
Signing affirmations on socialInspires other Deaf folks to own their power
Using ASL on your vision boardCreates inclusive manifestation spaces
Staying consistent with goalsShifts stereotypes about Deaf success
Sharing tools in ASL & visualsMakes wellness and mindset work more accessible

🌍 When we manifest as Deaf people, we create a world where our dreams are seen and respected.

Tips to Manifest Without Overwhelm (Especially If Life Is Loud)

Here’s the thing: You don’t need to do everything every day.

You just need a few things that keep you aligned—even when life gets noisy, hard, or overwhelming.

💡 Try This: ASL-Friendly Goal Checklist

Energy LevelWhat You Can Do
LowSign 1 affirmation while making tea
Medium5-minute mirror ritual + ASL journal
HighBuild your vision board or update toolkit

Reminder: It’s okay to go slow. Rest is part of the rhythm. The goal isn’t perfection—it’s returning to your center.

Deaf Women Deserve Dream-Filled Lives

If you’ve ever been told you need to tone it down, wait your turn, or settle because you’re Deaf—this is your reminder:

You are allowed to dream loudly. Boldly. Visually.

Manifesting in ASL isn’t just a cute idea—it’s a powerful way to reclaim your story, your vision, and your space.

You don’t need to wait for someone to hand you a seat at the table. You can build your own damn table—with your dream life on top.
